About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum preferred License: Current nursing license required Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 1:1 for labor and 1:3 for postpartum couples - Proficiency in Epic charting system Description: First-time travelers are welcome. The facility has a staffing model that follows established standards. Nurses may be required to be on-call during low census periods. Every other weekend availability is required. Expected patient ratios are in place for day and night shifts. The unit handles a variety of patient cases, including high-risk deliveries. The facility supports an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. There is a total of 14 LDRP beds available. Specialty procedures include caring for infants over 35 weeks gestation and managing gestational hypertensives and pre-eclampsia. Nurses will work closely with resuscitation teams and participate in multiple assessments and interventions. Travelers should be adaptable and open to floating between units if necessary. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Completion of modules and training will be required prior to start. This role involves significant patient interaction and support for new parents.
