Quality Assistant

Our client, an industry leader in electrical and mechanical components, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assistant to join their team. As a Quality Assistant, you will be an integral part of the Quality Department supporting the Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Supplier Quality Engineers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will enable you to thrive in this dynamic environment and contribute to the company's commitment to excellence.

Job Title: Quality Assistant

Location: Richmond, VA

Pay Range: $23.00

What's the Job?

• Inspect and test incoming mechanical and electrical parts from suppliers, including sheet metal and harnesses.
• Utilize measurement tools such as CMMs, multimeters, and oscilloscopes to gather accurate data on product characteristics.
• Create detailed dimensional reports, test reports, and inspection reports, including variation results and SPC data.
• Diagnose and repair electronic or electrical components as needed and approved by management.
• Investigate product defects or failures, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions using methodologies like 8D or DMAIC.

What's Needed?

• Experience inspecting, measuring, and testing mechanical, electrical, or electronic parts with a proven track record of generating accurate results reports.
• 2 to 3 years of experience working in quality or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work on-site in Richmond, VA, with proper work authorization to work in the US.
• Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, 8D, and DMAIC.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to support continuous improvement initiatives.
