ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

An opportunity is available for a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated healthcare team. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to patients with severe or life-threatening conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans.
• Monitoring vital signs and patient response to treatment.
• Administering medications and intravenous therapies as needed.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educating patients and their families on care and treatment plans.

Schedule

The position requires a commitment to a 12-hour day shift, specifically from 7 AM to 7 PM. Nurses will be expected to work every third weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and two of three holidays throughout the year.

Mandatory Staffing Requirements

This role includes mandatory emergency staffing requirements, which may necessitate additional hours as needed to ensure adequate coverage for the unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Proficiency in using Epic electronic health records system is necessary.
• COVID-19 vaccination or an accepted medical/religious exemption is required.

Required Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Telemetry Certification

Floating Requirements

Personnel may be reassigned to different departments, units, or facilities within a 30-mile radius of their initial assignment based on clinical competencies. Floating is not a requirement for this position.
