Remote Medical Coder I - Emergency & Hospital Billing

UTHealth Houston is hiring a Professional Coder I to join Revenue Cycle - Charging Code and Capture. The coder will review documentation to assign CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and modifiers for clinic and hospital encounters, applying coding rules and guidelines. The role requires coding accuracy, ability to resolve edits in Epic, and ongoing education to stay compliant with regulatory standards.
