Custodian - Professional Building

Custodian / Janitor Location: Oklahoma City, OK Environment: Professional Building Status: Full-time & Part-time positions available Schedule: Monday – Friday Shift: Various shifts available. Specifics will be discussed during interview Hourly Wage: $17.75 / hr. Benefits: Paid Training, Professional Development, Retirement Options, Paid Time Off, Agency‑Paid Certifications, & more DRTC is seeking a reliable and motivated Custodian Professional team members to support the daily cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our client buildings and grounds. This safety‑sensitive role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for staff, visitors, and program participants. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while following established procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform daily janitorial duties according to cleaning schedules or as needed Sweep, mop, and maintain tile floors Vacuum and spot‑clean carpets Restock supplies in assigned restrooms and kitchens Maintain janitorial equipment and supply inventory Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures Assist with emergency maintenance, including snow/ice clearing Attend required staff meetings, in‑services, and training sessions Understand and support DRTC’s mission and philosophy Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols Use agency tools and equipment safely and consistently Qualifications Must be 18 years or older High School Diploma or GED Custodial experience preferred Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License – Real ID compliant Stable work history Ability to make quick, logical decisions Must pass OSBI, MVR, DHS Registry, and other required background checks Physical Requirements Must be able to stand up for 8 hours Must be able to lift 50 lbs. vertically and 25 lbs. horizontally Must be able to carry loads up to 100 feet Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and walking Adequate mobility, vision, hearing, and dexterity for job duties Join a mission‑driven organization and play a vital role in maintaining safe, clean, and well‑functioning facilities for the individuals we serve.
