$50.88 - $72.33 an hour - Per Diem, Nights. Various hours a week.
*Range includes per diem and night differential. +$2.50 weekend shifts.


Boulder Community Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist - Neonatal Assessment Program who assumes responsibility and accountability for providing quality care to patients with disorders affecting daily living skills, sensory-motor functions, cognitive/perceptual functions, and infant special feeding needs.

Qualifications
• Current registration as an OT with NBCOT required (as verified by the Colorado licensure).
• Current license in the State of Colorado required.
• BLS certification required by the end of 90-day conditional period.
• Experience in an inpatient rehabilitation environment with an interdisciplinary team is preferred.
• Experience treating infants in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is preferred.

Skills Needed
• Evaluation skills: Selects appropriate tests and measures to determine goals and problems, courses of treatment and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Assessment skills: Identifies problem list/ assessment results, evaluates patient response to treatment and revises plan of care as indicated.
• Planning skills: Formulates and maintains an individualized treatment plan based on functional long and short-term goals.
• Implementation skills: Provides treatment using appropriate techniques and tools.

Responsibilities
• Reports and documents evaluations, plans, treatment techniques, assessment and patient progress.
• Functions as an advocate for the patient within the rehabilitation system.
• Identifies patient/family goals and incorporates this feedback into the overall plan of care.
• Transfers patients from wheelchair, bed, mat, commode etc.
• Transports patients to/from their room to the therapy room.
• Positions patients properly in their wheelchair
• Positions infants properly in crib, warmer or bassinet.
• Manages medical lines and medical equipment.
• Provides appropriate caregiver training to parents of infants in NICU and Special Care Nursery to support infant development and feeding plan.
• Provides appropriate discharge planning, including ordering equipment, recommendations for therapy, patient / family training.
