Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Farmington, CT that is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role will help ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and support budgeting, forecasting, and audit initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist with tax compliance and audit requests
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CPA candidate
• Public accounting experience
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• Multi-entity accounting experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
