Contract and Grants Research Administrator

Description The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking a part-time Contracts & Grants Research Administrator to join the Kasari Laboratory, a national recognized research program focused on improving outcomes for children with autism and other development disabilities. In this role you will provide comprehensive pre-award and post-award support for sponsored research projects and serve as a key resource to Principal Investigators and research teams. Key responsibilities include: Coordinate and manage grant and contract proposal submissions from preparation through submission Prepare budgets, budget justifications, and other proposal-related materials Reviewing funding opportunities and assist investigators with sponsor requirements Collaborate with Principal Investigators, funding agencies, and university offices throughout the proposal process Ensure compliance with university policies and sponsor regulations, including human subjects, animal research, biosafety, conflict of interest, and other requirements. Manage sponsored awards throughout the life of the project, including reporting, modifications, and closeout activities. Monitor project expenditures and budgets to ensure appropriate use of funds. Prepare financial reports, budget forecasts, and funding projections. Analyze and resolve complex research administration and financial issues. Advise investigators on grant administration, compliance requirements, and funding agency guidelines. Support complex sponsored projects involving multiple investigators, subawards, training grants, and other specialized funding mechanisms.
