About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: Active state RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI required Must-Have: - 2 years of experience preferred - First-time travelers accepted Description: This position involves providing care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will be responsible for managing a variety of complex patient diagnoses. The average daily census may range from a minimum of 10 to 40 patients. You will need to float between different care areas as required. Every other weekend shifts are expected. Attendance on holidays as scheduled is also required. You will be expected to monitor and manage telemetry patients. You will work within a ratio of 1:6 patients. You should be proficient in accessing and managing various types of intravenous lines. Knowledge of cardiac telemetry and administering medications is crucial. Experience with critical patient care protocols is essential. Participants in this role must be comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Caring for adult and geriatric patients will be a primary duty. Modifications to schedules may not be guaranteed. Flexibility in floating within the scope of practice is necessary.
