The Cross Sector Practice at HDR is a distinguished community of thousands of highly skilled professionals whose expertise is deployed seamlessly across all HDR markets. This elite group serves as a firmwide resource, providing specialized technical, strategic, and advisory capabilities to clients regardless of industry or project type. The practice is comprised of 14 specialized cross-sector disciplines, each backed by advanced technology, innovative tools, and industry-leading expertise. Collectively, these teams deliver integrated, high-impact solutions across the full project lifecycle.

The Cross Sector Technology Director's mission is to drive Cross Sector technology vision, strategy, standards, and innovation. This leader will help shape and execute HDR's applied technology vision by acting as a key bridge between the Cross Sector, Business Groups and Corporate Technology. Success in this role includes accelerating adoption of technology across the Cross Sector program, developing consistent delivery approaches, fostering technology talent networks, shaping the firm's multi-year technology strategy, deepening vendor partner engagements and helping to position the company as a differentiated, technology-enabled leader in the marketplace.

The Cross Sector Technology Director serves in a strategic, enterprise-level position, collaborating closely with Business Group Technology Directors (BGTDs) and Corporate Technology teams to address Cross Sector-specific requirements.

What Success Looks Like

Advocacy and stewardship of the Cross Sector's innovation, adoption, management, and deployment of technology. Clear alignment between Cross Sector, Business Group and Corporate Technology strategies. Increased reuse and scaling of proven technology solutions across Cross Sectors. Exploring how we can leverage technology to bring new services to meet our clients' challenge. Strong, collaborative relationships with Business Group Technology Directors and Corporate Technology leaders. Improved efficiency, quality, and consistency in technology-enabled project delivery. A connected, growing community of technology talent across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years post-graduate professional experience with 5+ years' experience in one of the cross sectors noted above or the architectural, engineering, and construction consulting industry
• 2+ years' data sciences, numerical modeling, digital production, or software development and deployment with an emphasis in tools related to the AEC consulting industry.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute applied technology strategies and implementation plans.
• Broad experience with digital delivery, data architecture and management, automation, optimization, and visualization technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and leadership levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent project delivery experience in multiple sectors and business groups.
• Experience evaluating, implementing, and supporting enterprise or multi-sector technology platforms in the AEC industry.
• Understanding a broad range of technologies and their applied use across architecture, engineering, and consulting environments.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Range: $178,952-$255,645
