Other duties may be assigned)Administrative/ClericalGreet patients/visitorsAnswer phones/schedule appointmentsFill out and submit insurance formsEstablish and maintain patient chartsFile, update, keep Medical RecordsClinicalPrepare/maintain examination roomsPrepare patients for examinationsAssist LMP during examinationsSchedule/report laboratory workMaintain inventory and order medicationsCoordinate with LMP to obtain appropriate prescription medication for patientsPossess knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, laboratory techniques, clinical procedures, and pharmaceutical principlesMust be customer service orientedAbility to use medical equipment, computers, medical and office softwareAbility to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressureMaintain standards of confidentiality of Lifeways’ clients and recordsPerform all work duties and activities in compliance with Lifeways, Oregon Administrative Rules, OSHA and HIPAA/FERPA regulationsRequired:High School Diploma/GED equivalentGraduate from an accredited Medical Assistant courseValid driver’s licenseMust pass a criminal background checkAVADE & FA/CPR Certified within 90 days of hirePreferred:American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification or American Medical Technology (AMT) registration within one year of hire #J-18808-Ljbffr Lifeways-Recovery-Center
