Job Opportunity: Hospitalist Physician
Our organization is in search of a talented and committed Board-Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician for a full-time Hospitalist role at a local hospital in Rome, New York. This position presents a fantastic chance to become part of a well-respected, mission-oriented healthcare system and to collaborate with a team dedicated to providing exceptional inpatient care.
Position OverviewThe selected candidate will:
- Deliver professional medical services to a daily patient load of 12-15 individuals during their hospital stay.
- Coordinate necessary follow-up care upon patient discharge.
- Conduct daily rounds for all patients enrolled in the Hospitalist Program, manage admissions, and respond to rapid response calls.
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations, documenting findings in our Paragon EMR system.
- Collaborate with the Attending Physician and Intensivist to effectively address medical crises or changes in patients' conditions, ensuring timely consultations with relevant parties.
- Work a schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Operate within an open ICU environment, supported by a 24/7 Intensivist consultant.
- Engage with a well-established medical center that offers extensive subspecialty support.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- A valid medical license in New York State.
- Previous experience as a Hospitalist is preferred but not mandatory.
- Outstanding clinical and communication abilities.
- Capability to excel in a dynamic hospital setting.
- Please note that we are not accepting candidates requiring J1 or H1B visas for this position.
Our organization provides a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes:
- Guaranteed base salary ranging from $250,000 to $275,000.
- The stated salary reflects the initial compensation range and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, or other cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance along with other benefits from their medical group employer. This salary range is compliant with state regulations and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
