Phlebotomist, Laboratory - Support, FT, 10pm-6:30am

Position Details Position: Laboratory/Phlebotomy Location: Miami Schedule: Full-time Job Responsibilities Performs phlebotomy in accordance with established National Patient Safety Goals and Baptist Health published protocols. Receives specimens into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) accurately and timely, labels, transports, centrifuges, and aliquots specimens. Assists customer requests for laboratory information including send-out tests to national reference labs. Prepares and packages specimens for transport to reference labs. Researches new send-out requests by physicians using available resources. Enters lab charges and CPT codes on all Lab Miscellaneous tests. Distributes specimens to testing sections in accordance with collection priority. Estimated pay range for this position is $19.44 - $25.27 / hour depending on experience. Qualifications High School or GED AAMA Certified Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification Effective August 1, 2013, Phlebotomy or medical assistant certificate required, renewal not required Hospital phlebotomy, computer skills, and >= 1 year specimen processing and send-outs; excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written; excellent customer service skills required; ability to work in a high‑volume fast‑paced work environment Hospital phlebotomy experience with pediatric, geriatric, oncology, and neonate patients; bilingual preferred (Minimum required experience: 2 years) #J-18808-Ljbffr Baptist Hospital of Miami
