TXA TXA Club is looking for reliable, hospitality-minded Line / Prep Cook to join our team.
Position Summary: The Line / Prep Cook is responsible for executing menu items with consistency, speed, and accuracy during service, as well as tackling an ever-changing prep list for both cafe and offsite events. This role reports to the Sous Chef to maintain quality standards, ensure proper station setup, and support overall kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and plating guidelines
- Set up and break down assigned station before and after service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout shifts
- Follow prep lists and communicate low inventory or product needs to supervisors
- Ensure all food is handled, stored, and labeled in compliance with food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service
- Assist with prep tasks as needed (cutting, portioning, batching, etc.)
- Maintain awareness of ticket times and prioritize orders accordingly
- Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment
- 2+ year experience in a fast-paced kitchen preferred
- Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
