Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Evenings Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Candidates must provide a copy of their unexpired driver's license. - Weekend requirements every other weekend. - Holiday requirements apply. - Candidate must disclose licensing hits at the time of submission. Description: The emergency room has a total of 8 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1 to 2 but can be 1 to 4 in certain situations. The average daily census in the emergency room is 29. Travelers typically will not be placed on call unless they express interest. The medication system used is Pyxis. The emergency room has a provider with NP/PA coverage available daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Cancellations are allowed for a maximum of 2 shifts within a 13-week assignment and 1 shift for shorter assignments. The charting system utilized in the emergency room is EPIC.
