Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR Surgical Tech to join our team at RMA of New York in both Eastside, New York and Brooklyn, New York .

• Schedule: Part-time hours 20 to 28 hours a week; Monday through Friday; Schedules vary depending on the day (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time); Two weekends a month and two holidays a year.
• Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR Surgical Tech will:

• Prepare and maintaining a sterile field with the required instruments and supplies to complete a designated surgical procedure efficiently and cost-effectively
• Prepare, setup, and scrub for routine and urgent surgical procedures and prepare patients for surgery
• Observe vital signs
• Other related functions on an as needed basis
• Proper maintenance of the procedure rooms and ordering of supplies

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• High School or equivalent
• A Surgical Technician Certification is preferred
• Medical Assistant Certification is allowed
• National Operating Room Technician Certification (CORT) is preferred
• At least one year experience in acute care operating room or assisting in procedures as a Surgical Tech is required
• Open to non-certified medical professionals
• Must be detailed oriented
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Smart, outgoing, organized and enjoy working with people
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills are required
• Bi-lingual language skills are a plus; interest in the field of reproductive medicine is preferred
• A current BLS/ACLS Certification is optional
