Principal Group Leader/Group Leader IV

Eurofins seeks a Principal Group Leader to oversee laboratory operations and team management in Portage, Michigan. The role involves ensuring GMP/GLP compliance, leading quality initiatives, managing staff development, and driving operational improvements in a diagnostic services environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laboratory operations and ensure quality metrics and turnaround times are met
- Lead, coach, and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and succession planning
- Independently conduct investigations, establish root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions
- Champion implementation of new technologies and systems; drive LEAN and operational improvements
- Provide technical consultation to clients on results interpretation and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of laboratory experience
- GMP/GLP compliance knowledge and quality standards expertise
- Leadership experience with team supervision and performance management
- Project management and process improvement capabilities
- Technical consulting and root cause analysis skills
