Pride Health is hiring a Histotechnologist II to support a medical facility in Shelton, CT 06484 . This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization. Job Details Title: Histotechnologist II Duration: 6+ months Pay rate: $28 - $32/hr (based on experience and education) Schedule: 1st shift (Wed – Sun, 4am – 12:30pm) or 3rd shift (Tues – Sat, 8pm – 4:30am) Requirements Embedding experience required Microtomy experience required Ability to cut 30 blocks/hour and embed 50 blocks/hour Job Responsibilities Perform complex laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease Analyze laboratory findings for accuracy Analyze biological samples for chemical content or reactions Isolate and identify microbial organisms Operate and maintain laboratory equipment Conduct clinical trials of pharmaceuticals Skills and Education Verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently Knowledge of clinical practices and regulations Associate degree in medical technology or related field required; Bachelor's preferred 2-4 years of experience required Benefits Comprehensive healthcare coverage, supplemental insurance options, 401(k), life & disability insurance, employee assistance programs, and other perks.
