Job Summary and Qualifications

As part of our team, you will work alongside a dedicated group of professionals truly making a difference in the health and lives of the people of West Florida. We are seeking an Echo Technologist. As an Echo Technologist, you will be responsible and accountable in performing procedures, and contributes to physician diagnosis. You will also drive key business improvements and results. Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• You will verify physician order and review patient's cardiac history prior to the procedure.
• You will prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
• You will collect clear data for physician analysis of cardiac structure and functioning.
• You will ensure reports are processed and report data is provided to physician at completion of procedure.
• You will maintain effective communication with patient; provides explanation procedures within scope of practice.
• You will maintain proactive and effective communication with cardiologist regarding any unusual clinical findings or history.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited; approved program in Sonography
• Registry/registry eligible from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• BLS
• One to three years' experience
• Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical
