Registered Nurse (RN) Rehabilitation

Essential Functions Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs. Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions. Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient. Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner. Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients. Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments. Perform other duties as assigned. This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments. Additional Information Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas. Assists in the orientation of new employees. Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations. Participates in performance/process improvement activities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred. License: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred. Hourly range: $42.00 - $58.81 per hour Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs; critical thinking; work well under pressure while keeping calm and maintaining customer focus. Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment. Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
