Assistant Teachers will support classrooms across all age groups and play a vital role in maintaining a nurturing, engaging learning environment. We are looking for individuals who feel called to serve children and families through Christ-centered education. Key Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood standards Create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity Managing classroom behavior to ensure a safe, respectful, and structured atmosphere Provide individualized support to children, adapting guidance and instruction to meet diverse learning styles Foster strong communication with families regarding children’s development and progress Maintain accurate records of attendance and classroom documentationCollaborate with teaching staff to promote a cohesive, inclusive learning environment Float between classrooms as needed to provide coverage and support Skills & Qualities Ability to develop and maintain daily schedules and routines that foster independence and positive self-image Promote vocabulary development, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Utilize play-based learning to develop cognitive, fine motor, and gross motor skills Recognize and validate children’s emotions while teaching self-regulation through modeling and guidance Incorporate regular physical activity to support overall health and development Strong teamwork skills and a servant-hearted attitude Why Join Hillcrest?
