This role will report to Vice President, Sales and based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.As a Commercial Ops Sr. Manager at Bloom Energy, you will serve as a critical bridge between cross-functional teams to ensure streamlined proposal development, efficient RFP management, and implementation of robust contracting processes. You will be responsible for proposal creation, working with a range of teams including application engineering, operations, and structured finance to build robust project plans and pricing. You will also be responsible for contract negotiations, working closely with the Sales Account Executive, Legal and the technical teams This role is essential in maintaining our operational excellence and supporting our team’s growth and success, primarily in North America.Key Responsibilities:Contract standardization & managementManage and maintain standard contract template: ensure current business, legal and compliance requirements in collaboration with the structured finance and legal teamCustomer detail validation: Ensure customer details (legal entity, contact info) are accurate and ensure alignment with contract terms, including pricing, terms and conditionsTailor contracts based on client requirements, including scope of work, service levels and deliverablesContract creation & negotiationPrepare and integrate negotiated terms by the sales and legal team to the customer contractEnsure contract reviews through the internal approval workflow, facilitating reviews with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance and ELTProposal preparation & customizationDevelop tailored proposals in collaboration with the sales, engineering, pricing/structure finance and legal teamsCustomize proposals based on customer requirements and project plans, with specific Bloom solutionsEnsure quality of formatting for customer executive level presentation, including graphics, charts, structured layoutsWork with the structured finance team to develop pricing structure and payment terms that are aligned to customer requirements and PnL structureProposal review & submissionEnsure proposal is reviewed across all functions and obtain approvals from all stakeholders (legal, engineering, finance)Manage Salesforce approval documentation. Get approval from the Bloom ELT before finalizationEnsure timely delivery of the proposal by the responsible Account Executive or Bloom leadershipCommunicate acknowledgement of submission and track customer feedback or clarificationCross-functional Team CoordinationFacilitate seamless communication and workflow between sales, application engineering, structured finance, and leadership teamsManage project timelines, track interdepartmental deliverables, and proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecksOrganize and lead cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment on proposal strategies, pricing, and customer engagement approachesOperational Process OptimizationContinuously review and refine sales operations processes to enhance efficiency and effectivenessDevelop and implement best practices for proposal creation, RFP response, and cross-functional collaborationAct as a subject matter expert on sales operations tools, methodologies, and industry benchmarksQualifications:Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales operations, preferably in energy or technology solutions.
