We are seeking a motivated Field Service & Installation Technician to join our team installing, servicing, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading large industrial doors throughout the United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in industrial doors, commercial doors, mechanical equipment, millwright work, rigging, cranes, elevators, industrial maintenance, heavy equipment, welding, or field service .

Direct industrial door experience is preferred, but it is not required for the right candidate. We are looking for mechanically skilled individuals who can learn, troubleshoot equipment, work safely at heights, and travel extensively.

What You Will Do

• Install large industrial doors, including vertical lift, fabric, rolling, bi-fold, and other high-performance door systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, repairs, modifications, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components and determine the best course of action to resolve problems.
• Read and understand blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, electrical components, and electrical schematics.
• Properly install materials according to design drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Use rigging, fall-protection equipment, aerial lifts, tools, and heavy equipment safely.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and proper operation.
• Identify defective or non-conforming materials and report issues appropriately.
• Interact professionally with customers and provide quality service.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment, and other assigned property.
• Follow all OSHA, company, customer, and job-site safety requirements.
• Have the authority and responsibility to STOP WORK when an activity is considered unsafe.
• Work independently while also taking direction from supervisors and installation foremen.
• Be willing to work additional hours when required to meet customer needs.
• Travel approximately 75%–90% of the time , including assignments where you may be away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time .

• Welding/fabrication
• Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting
• General construction with strong mechanical skills

Industrial/high-performance door experience is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right mechanically skilled candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical, structural, industrial, construction, or field-service experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ability to learn and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with rigging, fall protection, aerial lifts, or heavy equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 100 feet .
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds .
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules and additional hours when necessary.
• Must be able to pass a full government/background check .
• Must be able to pass random drug testing .
• AWS welding certification is a plus, but not required.

Travel & Training

This position involves significant nationwide travel. You may be away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time.

Company-provided training will be provided, including applicable safety, OSHA, first aid, and CPR training.

Company travel expenses, lodging, and required work equipment are provided according to company policy.
