Job Description

As a Contract Consultant, Government, you will support activities across the federal government contracting lifecycle, including solicitation support, contract administration, reporting, contract modifications, award implementation, and contract closeout activities. Working closely with internal business partners and Federal customers, you will help ensure contractual requirements are executed accurately and contracting processes are completed in a timely and compliant manner.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Contract Consultant will develop expertise in federal contracting while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support contract execution, maintain accurate records, and deliver a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support federal government contracting activities throughout the contract lifecycle, including solicitations, contract awards, modifications, reporting, and closeout.

• Assist with solicitation responses through document preparation, stakeholder coordination, and proposal support activities.

• Process contract modifications, administrative updates, extensions, and closeout requests.

• Maintain accurate contract documentation, records, and data within contract management systems.

• Track contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and key deliverables.

• Provide timely support to internal stakeholders and customers by responding to routine contract-related inquiries and facilitating issue resolution.

• Support audits, reporting activities, and documentation requests.

• Recognize potential contractual, operational, or process concerns and escalate issues for review and resolution.

• Support collection and reporting of contract-related data and operational metrics.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives and utilize approved digital tools and automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree required and 3 years of experience in contract management, contracting operations, business operations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.

• Ability to interpret contractual requirements and follow established business processes.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across a matrix organization.

• Experience using Microsoft Excel and other business applications.

• Experience working with contract management systems, CRM platforms, or similar business tools.

• Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred

• Experience supporting federal government contracts.

• Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and government contracting principles.

• Experience supporting contract modifications, reporting activities, solicitation responses, or contract administration functions.

• Experience using Salesforce, CLM platforms, or similar systems.

• Experience supporting audits, reporting, or documentation management activities.

• Exposure to process improvement initiatives, automation tools, or business process technologies.
