Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team in the Ambulatory Surgery unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist in surgical procedures, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to facilitate safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess recovery progress in Phase II care.
• Provide patient education regarding their procedures and post-operative care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Ability to float to the Main OR as needed.
• Prior experience in admitting and Phase II recovery preferred.

Schedule

This position operates on a rotating schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The weeks will alternate between Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on staffing needs, with schedules posted 6 weeks in advance.

Work Environment
