Patient Service Rep Lead - Ortho - Full-Time

Job Summary The Patient Service Rep Lead supervises others on patient and customer service activities, ensuring accurate and efficient registering, scheduling, and financial analysis for all patients upon arrival, and complying with managed care contracts. The role responds expeditiously and courteously to patient inquiries, maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate presentation. The Lead interacts with third‑party payers and departments, supports patients across socio‑economic backgrounds, and works closely with physician offices on scheduling and registration updates. Responsibilities Supervise patient service representatives. Ensure accurate patient registration, scheduling, and financial analysis. Comply with managed care contract requirements. Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries. Interact with third‑party payers and internal departments. Support patients and families in self‑management and behavior change. Coordinate care for the practice’s patient population. Participate in quality improvement and performance evaluation. Keep abreast of updates or changes in scheduling and registration. Education High School Diploma with at least 5 years experience in physician office/billing/insurance environment. BS in Business Administration or related field (preferred). Experience Four years in a health‑care setting with customer service and financial counseling or related insurance verification, scheduling, or equivalent education/experience. Knowledge of self‑pay collections, medical terminology, ICD‑9, and insurance. Fluent computer skills: Windows, Word, Excel, Practice Management software. Excellent communication skills across diverse backgrounds. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, strong math skills. Prior Centricity/Flowcast experience desirable. Experience with appointment scheduling, patient registration, data entry, cash box, filing, phone system, deposits, physician billing, insurance collection, and obtaining referrals, pre‑authorization, pre‑certifications. Position Requirements Work in a clinical setting involving moderate sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and computer work; handle stressful situations and flexible scheduling. #J-18808-Ljbffr
