Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in providing quality care for patients in an interventional radiology environment. The position requires a skilled professional with experience in a busy lab setting, capable of administering sedation and participating in complex procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
• Administer sedation and manage patient recovery during and following procedures.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in patient education and support throughout the care continuum.

Shifts and On-Call Requirements

• Shifts will vary from Monday to Friday with weekend call responsibilities.
• Expected call schedule: 7 days per month, including one weekend per month (Friday to Sunday evening) plus one weekday.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, specifically as a Cath Lab RN or Interventional Radiology RN.
• Candidates with prior experience in a 250-bed facility are preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is highly preferred for Cath Lab RNs and required for IR RNs.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or CCI RCIS, and NIHSS are required.
• No pending licenses will be accepted.
