Production Supervisor

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Control and maintain production within assigned areas. Ensure target efficiencies are measured and maintained for daily production activities. Ensure that the production schedule is met each day / week. Establish area goals to support production and strategic initiatives. Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe associates to ensure compliance with standards. Enforce workplace safety regulations and procedures. Control and maintain 5s activities. Ensure conformance to quality standards. Ensure completion of all documentation assigned to Team Leaders and Production Associates. Delegate assignments as required. Complete all assigned documentation. Attend and participate in meetings as requested. Implement production processes with continuous improvement. Create documentation for production support and data collection. Develop training programs for Team Leaders and Associates. Initiate work orders for equipment problems. Responsible for environmental, health and safety issues in the manufacturing area. Participate in the planning of personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA / IOSHA and all regulatory agency standards and guidelines and ensure all reporting associates are trained and compliant. Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws and statutes and other governmental regulations, which are directly applicable to the company. Develop, document and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production and quality. Direct Reports: All team leaders, production associates and material handlers. Support IATF16949 Initiatives.
