Job Summary: The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering prescribed ionizing therapeutic radiation under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist, utilizing complex techniques and equipment. Key responsibilities include: Preparing treatment rooms and equipment, and explaining procedures to patients. Performing CT simulations and constructing custom immobilization devices. Monitoring patient conditions during treatment and documenting all relevant information. Maintaining licensure and certifications, and adhering to radiation safety protocols. Collaborating with healthcare teams and participating in ongoing education. Qualifications: Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy, ARRT certification, and CPR certification.
