Position: AEM Architect

Location: Remote (25% Travel expenses paid customer)

We are looking for a versatile and talented architect to lead a development team. This role will supply deep technical expertise in all aspects of design and development for the user experience on the external-facing enterprise websites and support other properties (e.g., marketing automation, internal collaboration sites, social media, offline) as needed. Focus on developing technically robust solutions within an enterprise content management system that address business needs and factors in existing architecture and technology constraints and parameters.

This architect role will work directly with key business stakeholders, digital strategists, marketers, content strategists, and designers to capture business and technical requirements, and develop functional prototypes. This position will play a vital role in establishing architecture, development best practices, testing, and deployment of Adobe Experience Manager and other marketing solution.

• Leads team(s) of developers following practice guidelines to build software solutions
• Develop and deliver web experiences on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Mentors team members following Manager Tools practices, servant leadership, and multipliers practices
• Participate in the full Systems Development Life Cycle, including meetings, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions.
• Create and promote guidelines for developing complex AEM components, templates in AEM 6.x with Touch UI using Sightly/HTL, modern front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap, LESS, Sass, Angular, React, JavaScript, Backbone, Granite and Coral UI Foundation framework based on business requirements.
• Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used.
• Anticipate significant system and industry changes, presenting information and analysis to facilitate a proactive approach to problems and opportunities
• Serve as primary technical liaison with customers. Consults with customers to share technology-related knowledge, business process enhancements and best practices
• Participate with senior management in planning the short- and long-range technology strategies for the company and provides high-level analytical support and advice on technology-related matters
• Take a lead role in establishing and implementing standards that will facilitate a quality IT infrastructure
• Provide technical review to help ensure projects meet cost, benefit, timeliness, integration goals, business strategy, and technical recommendations

1. 5+ years of experience implementing AEM solutions, including features such as MSM, Launches, Translations and Configurations.
2. Experience with key Adobe CQ/AEM APIs and functionality (Sites, Apps, Assets, Forms, Commerce, etc. and building and testing Adobe CQ/AEM components.
3. Minimum of 10 years of software development experience.
4. Experience in web technologies including CSS, HTML, XML and AJAX / JavaScript.
5. Experience developing web services and application integrations with third party frameworks.
6. Experience with source code control systems: CVS, SVN and Git.
7. Experience with developing and deploying applications on cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
8. Experience with full-stack software development.
9. Understanding of modern software delivery processes, tools and frameworks with certification or experience working with an Agile methodology and iterative development.
10. Ability to provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers, business analysts, content authors and other teams.
11. Experience with practices such as unit testing, static analysis, and build automation, as well as continuous integration, build and source management.
12. Knowledge of architectural, AEM, and coding best practices, including the ability to communicate them to developer teams.
13. Ability to work through complex and highly technical problems and communicate solutions effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
14. Self-starter, and willing to take ownership of individual and team deliverables, while maintaining the highest level of quality.
15. Experience working with marketing-related functional teams (e.g. content, marketing, brand), information technology teams, vendors and business partners in a collaborative environment
16. Ability to work on multiple complex tasks against deadlines and shifting priorities and to comfortably deal with uncertainty, ambiguity, and change
17. Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related degree, or equivalent experience

• Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, Analytics, Target, Mobile Services, Marketo, Adobe Commerce and AEM Forms.
• Certification as an AEM Developer and/or AEM Architect
• Certification in agile development methodologies
• Understanding of marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
• Experience working within a professional services firm, consulting firm or agency.
• Experience with network solutions and connectivity management
