Description

• Conduct assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing an array of standardized tools and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives along with long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapeutic interventions emphasizing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing therapies.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, healthcare providers, caregivers, and families to cultivate a thorough approach to patient care.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure uninterrupted healing throughout the care continuum.
• Keep accurate and timely documentation as per state, federal, and internal policies.
• Remain informed about the latest advancements in the field via ongoing education and collaborative professional interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting the position.
