The Sentinel of Port Jervis is an Assisted Living Facility located in the tristate area of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

POSITION TITLE: Housekeeper

SUMMARY: Clean assigned areas, with the greatest concentration on public spaces.

REPORT TO : The EVS Director and Housekeeping Supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB: Follow the assistance plan in providing services to residents.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

1. Clean resident rooms and bathrooms daily, as defined in the RESPONSIBILITIES assistance plan.

2. Clean common areas as scheduled.

3. Strip beds weekly, more often if necessary.

4. Provide a complete set of fresh linen and towels weekly.

5. Ensure that bathrooms are free from mildew; provide new curtains, bath mats if needed.

6. Inform maintenance personnel if repairs are needed.

7. Report concerns or observations about residents’ well-being to The Case Manager or Administration.

8. Ensure a safe living environment.

9. Wash windows and window sills in resident rooms weekly or more often if needed.

10. Assist with exterior window washing twice a year.

11. Maintain and ensure that there is an adequate amount of clean linen at all times, inform The EVS Director/Housekeeping Supervisor, if otherwise.

12. Deep clean all vacated apartments to prepare for the next

Resident.

13. Assist in serving meals.

14. Carry out other duties as assigned.

15. Maintain an adequate amount of supplies to complete job responsibilities. Inform The EVS Director/Housekeeping Supervisor if supplies are needed.

16. Return all supplies to proper storage area upon completion.
