In this role, you will be responsible for procuring both finished goods and service parts from predominantly overseas suppliers (China and Southeast Asia). The Buyer serves as a critical cross-functional hub, collaborating closely with Internal and External Product Development, Sales, Customer Service, and Business Unit Managers to align international manufacturing capabilities with commercial strategy, product launches, and customer demand.Job DutiesPerform purchasing function such as placing PO, managing supplier confirmation and cargo ready dates, resolving shipping and receiving discrepanciesSupport product development team on non-inventory purchasing activities such as tooling, samples and prototypes as needed to launch new productsAnalyze and plan products and raw material requirements based on forecast and production schedule to support inventory availabilityCommunicate and collaborate with inside sales, suppliers, ensuring customer orders are met and delivered on timeSupport project management task between product development and suppliers to ensure project timeline and critical milestones are met, follow up on samples and tooling completion to prevent major delayReview product lead times, minimum order requirements, seasonality, and sales volume by SKU by customers to determine order frequency while maintaining lean inventoryConduct periodical forecast review with sales and business unit managers to avoid excessive or stock out positionSupport quotes, contracts, RFQs, and cost standards for budget planDrive process improvement activities through purchasing to minimize errors and touch pointsAssist with other supply chain analysis and initiatives as neededQualifications and SkillsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office with advanced skills in ExcelExperience with ERP Systems including manufacturing modules (e.g. MRP, MPS, and WMS) desiredStrong quantitative and analytical skillsAbility to effectively communicate with multi-level personnel as well as suppliers, customers, and non-native English speakersAbility to work cross-functionally, convey complex issues, and maintain confidentialityAbility to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentAbility to think quickly and handle frequent changeSelf-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with little supervisionEducation: 2-year degree in a supply chain related discipline and/or 3 equivalent years of experienceBenefitsHealthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription)Health Savings Account (HSA) with Employer ContributionsESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)Yearly Profit-Sharing Bonus401(k) PlanPaid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementGroup Term Life InsuranceLong Term DisabilityFlexible Spending Account (Dependent)Employee DiscountCompensation: SalariedDuration of Employment: Full TimePhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift at least 30lbsMust be able to sit for over 4 hours at a time.Work Days: Monday – FridayHours / Day: 8Work Shift: First ShiftTravel: Minimal travel is requiredArdisam, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
