Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist Weekly Pay: $1813 - $2013 Shift: Rotating Shifts Per Week: 3 Scheduled Hours: 36 Start Date: 06/25/2026 End Date: 09/24/2026 Duration: 13 Week(s) Schedule This is a night shift position from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM on a rotating schedule: Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday; Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Job Description The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific Physician's orders and department policies and procedures. The role involves assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders, along with maintaining patient records and operating respiratory care equipment. Responsibilities Perform accurate and complete respiratory assessments of patients. Determine treatment requirements including type, method, duration, and medications based on physician orders. Formulate and evaluate teaching plans for patients and families, particularly about pain management and discharge planning. Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy and consult with Physicians as necessary. Prepare and administer respiratory medications and conduct tests to evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary functions. Maintain equipment and ensure proper documentation is completed promptly. Follow established safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Participate in performance improvement activities and perform additional duties as assigned.
