Works collaboratively within the branch and through various channels with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives. Responsibilities Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects to provide needs‑based assessments and grow loyalty. Identify and recommend tailored financial solutions, including everyday banking, retail investments, lending solutions, home financing (including business‑for‑self applications) and small business solutions. Offer clients advice on available digital and self‑serve options, and support customers in completing transaction needs. Generate appointments, build new relationships within the community, and drive business growth. Resolve questions and issues raised through consumer credit audits and quality checks to maintain accurate data entry and compliance with lending policies. Apply the Risk Management Framework to protect the bank’s assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio. Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles. Probe to understand personal banking and credit card needs, and integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations. Organize work and information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and efficiency. Find creative approaches to make each customer’s experience feel personal and improve overall customer satisfaction. Follow risk and compliance processes, safeguard customer assets, and maintain privacy. Keep current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and industry ethical requirements. Analyze issues, determine next steps, and handle escalations from other employees. Take measured risks within the approved Risk Appetite to support business strategy. Qualifications Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. For Canada: completed registration to sell investment products, and appropriate lending qualifications and designations. Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs, retail investments, and lending products. Experience in financial services and in a consultative customer service or sales role. Proficiency in social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications. Strong interpersonal, listening, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Self‑starter with resourcefulness, courage, and confidence to engage customers. Readiness to collaborate and work in various capacities as part of a team. U.S. applicants: federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry required, with compliance to RegulationZ, RegulationG, and the S.A.F.E. Act. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $50,100.00 – $82,800.00 (salaried). Base pay may be complemented by performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks.
