Position SummaryProvides excellent patient care by answering all incoming business office calls and directing them appropriately.Essential Functions Statement(s)Answers all incoming calls to the Business Office and directs them to the appropriate business staff if neededVerifies and updates insurance and demographic informationResolves patient balance/account questionsIdentifies and prepares patient refundsResponds to assigned communicator messagesWorks hold buckets for any claim correctionsResolves claim holdsPerforms other related duties as assignedSkills & AbilitiesEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)Experience: Previous customer service experience required. Previous experience in a physician office preferred.Computer Skills: Must be computer literate. Basic computer skills required.
