QUALITY MANAGER NEEDED - BLUFFTON, INDIANA

A Leading Automotive Supplier near Bluffton, Indiana needs a Quality Manager. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays & Paid Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Quality Manager will perform all functions and responsibilities of the VDA and IATF Representative. The Quality Manger reports directly to the President of the Company.

Establish, implement, maintain, and audit general quality system in line with Company's Quality Plan and ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
The Quality Manager delegates specific responsibilities and duties to the Quality Team.
Establish specific job quality requirements and checking procedures pertinent to part and to meet customer requirements / expectations.
Hire and train Auditors as necessary to requirements of job description (including, but not limited to: Layout, CMM operation, SPC techniques), and specific customer job requirements and general system requirements.
Work with Manufacturing to train production employees for specific job requirements and general quality requirements
Perform layout inspection as necessary, utilizing any or all manual or special measuring machines / instruments--including CMM s for routine part inspection, samples /PPAP requirements, gauge certification, tool verification, etc.
Communication (written, verbal or otherwise) with Suppliers to discuss / resolve questions concerning quality issues for manufactured product and work with Materials Manager to resolve any quality issues for purchased raw materials or services.
Observes and complies with all company, federal and state safety and environmental policies and practices.
Develops strong working knowledge of all relevant quality policies, procedures, and work instructions associated with the successful performance on this job.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe personal work area and shared facility space.
Member of APQP team.
Stop production at any work center, if safety is being jeopardized, or to correct quality problems. Any work stoppage must be reported immediately to production shift supervisor.
ISO Management Representative and coordination of all Activities associated with audits

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor s Degree or Equivalent Experience

Previous Quality Management Experience

Drafting and Blueprint Reading Skills

CMM Operational Skills - Automatic

Understanding of GD&T

Strong Verbal & Written Communication Skills

Computer Literacy - Microsoft Programs

Employee must be able to verbally explain company Quality Policy and ISO Quality Management Systems.

Must meet or exceed deadlines on all projects.

Effectiveness of Quality Management System.

Manage projects to be consistent with the company s capabilities and cost targets.

Ensures that high-quality engineering projects are maintained to meet or exceed customer expectations.
