The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands–Riverside is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to provide individual and family group therapeutic services, guide and train Club staff, and support the growth of our innovative Behavioral Health program. Home Office Based out of San Bernardino Field Office ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside has been proudly serving children and families since 1967. We are one of the premier non-profits in the Inland Empire and looking for an incredible Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join our dynamic team. We are a highly driven and mission-focused organization in need of an energetic, people-focused, organized, and committed professional to fill the critical role of Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician. The Club’s impact extends throughout several sites across the Inland Empire, Redlands, and areas of the High Desert. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Reporting to the Director of Community Impact, the Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will play a central role in supporting the emotional and mental well-being of Club members and their families. This position provides individual, family, and group therapeutic services, offers guidance and training to Club staff, and collaborates closely with caregivers to ensure holistic support for youth. As a vital member of our trauma-informed, youth-centered team, the Clinician will support the implementation and growth of the Club’s Behavioral Health program, helping to create an environment that is safe, inclusive, and empowering. KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): Provide short-term, solution-focused behavioral health support to youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, or social challenges. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions as appropriate, in alignment with scope of licensure and program needs. Conducts interviews, assessments and observations of behaviors and identifies the social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs of youth; develops therapy goals and objectives for implementation through individual therapy plans. Facilitate evidence-based and age-appropriate group sessions focused on topics such as emotional regulation, resilience, social-emotional learning (SEL), and positive coping strategies. Lead and develop informational sessions on behavioral health topics for families and community members, delivered through our Family Dinner Model. Collaborate with Club staff to create and sustain trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally relevant program environments. Direct and provide oversight of mental health therapy services, including clinical supervision of clinical interns as necessary. Collaborate with external behavioral health providers and community partners to support coordinated client care. Provides responsive services in crisis intervention to assist youth, staff, and/or administration. Support Club members’ overall well-being through referrals to external mental health and social services, when appropriate. Respond to crisis situations and support de-escalation, partnering with Club leadership and caregivers as needed. Lead or support staff trainings and consultations on youth mental health, trauma, and behavior management strategies. Engage with families and caregivers to promote youth well-being and strengthen family-club partnerships. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including confidentiality, mandated reporting, and professional boundaries. Travel to sites throughout Inland Empire. RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues and advise/counsel. External: Establish and maintain cooperative and effective professional working relationships with others, including students, families, community-based mental health professionals. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Minimum of 3 years of experience providing behavioral or mental health support to children, adolescents, or transition-age youth in school, clinical, or community-based settings. Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field Required . Bilingual in Spanish or relevant language is Preferred . Active California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist) in good standing, with eligibility to function as a Licensed Clinical Supervisor under applicable state regulations Required . Qualifies with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (or relevant licensing authority) to provide clinical supervision. 1-2 years’ experience supervising interns or pre-licensed clinicians, including responsibility for clinical oversight, ethical compliance, and documentation review . Ability to provide required individual and/or group supervision , approve clinical hours, and ensure compliance with Medi-Cal and payer requirements. Experience in a behavioral health plan process including direct services, treatment plans, monitoring progress, termination of services and in Medi-Cal billing preferred. Working knowledge of trauma-informed practices, positive youth development, and behavioral health interventions. Counseling strategies to assist students and parents/guardians with academic, post-secondary, and social emotional needs. Demonstrated ability to serve and communicate effectively with diverse populations both internally and externally. Establish and maintain a variety of accurate record keeping and filing systems. Proficient user of MS Office suite and relevant software. Valid State Driver License with reliable transportation. Must clear TB, Drug Screen, Fingerprint, licensure check. CPR & First Aid Certification within 90 of hire. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal internal office environment with frequent need to travel to club locations within the Inland Empire. Frequent internal contacts with employees throughout the organization required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Position will have some travel to sites within the Inland Empire.
