Role Description The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Orlando. This role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding borrowers through the loan process from initial inquiry to closing. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients to assess their financing needs, collecting and reviewing financial documentation, and presenting appropriate loan options. The Mortgage Loan Officer collaborates with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely, accurate approvals and a smooth borrower experience. The role also involves building referral relationships with real estate professionals, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, and adhering to all regulatory and company compliance standards. Qualifications Experience as a Loan Officer with a track record of originating residential mortgages and managing the end-to-end loan process. Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry, including current products, regulations, and market trends. Hands-on experience in Mortgage Lending, such as structuring loan files, preparing applications, and coordinating with processing and closing teams. Familiarity with Underwriting principles, credit analysis, and documentation requirements to effectively prequalify and package loans. Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, responsiveness, and the ability to explain complex information in accessible terms. State-specific mortgage loan originator (MLO) license for Florida, or eligibility and willingness to obtain required licensing. Proficiency with loan origination systems (LOS), CRM tools, and basic office software. Ability to work on-site/hybrid, manage multiple files simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
