Laser Technician

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Laser Technician Position type: Full Time, Contract Duration: 6+ Months Contract Location: Orlando, FL As a Laser Technician, you will: Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble laser and laser system components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads work orders, follows production drawings, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Positions and alignsparts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Capable of assembling, alignment and testing of laser components, lasers and laser systems assemblies while under limited supervision. Able to perform optical bonding, cleaning and inspection of laser units. Performs optical inspections using inferometric equipment. Records, analyzes, and interprets test data. Makes recommendations for improvements in yield. Coordinates with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure a low-cost producible design and support the transition from Development to full rate production. Records, analyzes, and interprets test data, makes recommendations for improvements in yield. Able to mentor and train junior level technicians. Assists in setting up and verifying optical, electronic and environmental test equipment. Assembles and tests optical, mechanical and electrical subassemblies. Assembles mechanical parts and cooling systems. Records, analyzes and interprets test data. Completes optical bonding, cleaning and inspection of laser units. Builds wiring harness, solders and performs PCB assembly of electrical and electro-optical subassemblies. All other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. 3+ years' experience working with Optics in a manufacturing environment. 4+ years' experience working with military grade lasers in a production environment. 4+ years' experience conducting testing, integration, and diagnostics on optics / lasers. 4+ years' experience in electrical / mechanical assembly Able to work weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives. Fully capable of working with minimal supervision or direction. Thorough understanding of all elements of laser resonator cavities. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
