Established food manufacturing operation seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support plant equipment, facility maintenance, and day-to-day operations within a smaller, team-oriented production environment.

This facility operates with a close-knit culture where employees work collaboratively and take ownership of keeping operations running efficiently during both peak production season and off-season maintenance periods.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving plant equipment and facility systems throughout the operation. This role works closely with plant leadership and production teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational uptime.

This is a highly independent role within a small facility, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, and being a key contributor across the plant.

Schedule

Off-Season Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Minimal weekend work

Peak Production Season

• Extended shifts and overtime required
• 7 days x 10-12 hours/day for 3-4 week peak in June
• Peak production occurs during summer months
• Candidates must be comfortable working weekends and longer hours during peak season operations

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and operating manuals
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits
• Perform welding and light fabrication work as needed
• Repair and install plumbing systems
• Maintain compressed air systems, solenoids, air cylinders, and piping
• Safely operate production equipment when needed
• Complete preventative maintenance and facility upkeep tasks
• Follow all plant safety procedures including lockout/tagout and confined space protocols
• Complete maintenance documentation and records accurately
• Assist production operations as needed during staffing or vacation coverage
• Support and train plant personnel on equipment operation and safety procedures

Qualifications

Required

• Maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, automotive, agricultural, military, construction, machine shop, or related environments
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Welding and fabrication ability
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment where responsibilities may vary day to day

Preferred

• Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Forklift experience or certification
• Food manufacturing experience not required
