Description: The Wound Care RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients with wound and ostomy needs. Responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of wound care therapies. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Experience in pediatrics is highly preferred but not required. Candidates must have skills in managing various types of wounds and ostomy care. Knowledge of infection control practices and patient education methods is essential. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and documentation standards. Wound care specialists will engage in patient and family teaching to aid in recovery. This position does not require on-call duties or weekend coverage. Candidates should be prepared to float to similar units if necessary. Local candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
