Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused professional to join our team as an Insurance Account Representative. This position is centered on building relationships, identifying customer needs, and helping individuals and families protect what matters most though State Farm Insurance. Successful candidates are self-motivated, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable initiating sales conversations, and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service. An active insurance license and/or ability to obtain any other required licenses is expected.

Responsibilities

Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.

Requirements :

Louisiana Property and Casualty license (must currently have)
Louisiana Life and Health license (must currently have or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire)
Experience in insurance sales (or telemarketing/ other relative sales experience)
Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
People-oriented
Self-motivated
Detail oriented
Proactive in problem solving
Dedicated to customer service
Experience in a variety of computer applications, particularly Windows
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task
Ability to effectively relate to a customer

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm.

While this position is primarily located in Thibodaux, LA, occasional help may be needed in our Lockport, LA location with advanced notice.
