U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law We are hiring a Mid-Level or Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Auburn, WA, supporting aerospace fabrication, production engineering, and manufacturing process improvement. This role supports production and tooling methodologies, manufacturing planning, work instruction improvements, producibility analysis, machining operations, lean manufacturing, and technical problem resolution while working directly with mechanics and cross-functional engineering teams on the factory floor. U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law We are hiring a Mid-Level or Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Auburn, WA, supporting aerospace fabrication, production engineering, and manufacturing process improvement. This role supports production and tooling methodologies, manufacturing planning, work instruction improvements, producibility analysis, machining operations, lean manufacturing, and technical problem resolution while working directly with mechanics and cross-functional engineering teams on the factory floor. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production engineering and tooling methodologies for aerospace fabrication and manufacturing operations.
- Lead manufacturing plans and systemic improvements to work instruction processes.
- Translate new manufacturing process requirements into standardized work instructions and support training across multiple production teams.
- Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop and integrate technical solutions across multiple engineering and manufacturing disciplines.
- Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining program architecture for production builds.
- Conduct producibility and variation analyses to verify manufacturing process capabilities meet engineering and production requirements.
- Provide producibility information for project planning and document manufacturing producibility best practices.
- Analyze design and build concepts to evaluate producibility and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Resolve complex technical issues affecting manufacturing performance, cost, quality, or production schedules.
- Coordinate and implement engineering principles, advanced manufacturing technologies, theories, and concepts.
- Validate technical solutions and ensure production readiness for complex manufacturing requirements.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and technologies to improve process efficiency, production flow, and operational performance.
- Work directly with mechanics and production teams on the factory floor to support manufacturing operations and process improvements.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, including Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non-U.S. equivalent qualification directly related to the work.
- Mid-Level: Typically 2+ years of related professional experience with a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience, such as a master's degree.
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to support production engineering and manufacturing activities in a factory-floor environment.
- ABET-accredited engineering education is preferred in the United States, although ABET accreditation is not required.
- Experience with project management.
- Experience performing root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting machining operations.
