Assistant Professor - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Home Explore Careers Benefits Job Seeker Resources Connect With Us Log In Job Description Work Arrangement: Location: Houston, TX Salary Range: FLSA Status: Nonexempt Work Schedule: Summary The Department of Anesthesiology is currently seeking qualified Part Time PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for Harris Health/Quentin Mease Locations. Candidates will serve as a key member of our team to provide high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia services to patients at high acuity levels. Job Duties Work with our Anesthesiology services team to provide high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia, and pain care services at all acuity levels, for all patients, and for several different reasons, in a variety of settings. Provider will have primary direct patient care responsibilities for patients and administer all forms of anesthesia including inhaled, intravenous, neuraxial, and regional, for surgical or medical procedures. Provider will assess and evaluate patients prior to the administration of anesthesia to formulate anesthetic plans. Provider will Insert and use invasive and noninvasive monitors, as indicated. Provider will respond to emergency/code situations to provide airway management. Provider will document anesthetic information and patient condition. Provider will have call responsibilities. Provider will participate in quality care improvement initiatives. Provider will perform other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education Required: Master’s degree in in Nursing. Experience Required: None required. Certification/Licenses/Registration:Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing. Current Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
