JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The hospice Business Development Manager is an ambitious and energetic individual that acts as the front of the company while being dedicated to the creation and implementation of an effective sales strategy. The Business Development Manager expands the clientele and community relationships by driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with surrounding community stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop a growth plan focused on quality hospice care and healthy financial strategy.
2. Conduct research to identify markets and needs in surrounding communities, along with opportunities to expand serviceable territory.
3. Arrange business meetings and community events that would provide growth with surrounding facilities and communities.
4. Promote and represent the hospice program to physicians, physician groups, discharge planners, community health organizations, and other referral sources that would benefit program growth.
5. Build long term relationships with new and existing referral sources.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BS/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field with healthcare and/or hospice experience preferred.
2. Proven working experience as a business development manager, or other relevant role.
3. Proficiency in Google Suite applications preferred. An ability to use and evaluate market reporting to develop growth strategies.
4. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and planning skills.
5. Must have a great ability to develop rapport, while educating others about hospice benefits and offerings.
6. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
