Microbiologist I

Key Job Functions Perform routine and non-routine testing microbiological analyses. Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment. Work independently with minimal supervision. Support others on the QC laboratory team. Assist in writing and editing SOPs. Perform routine and non-routine projects with guidance. Maintain an efficient, clean, and safe work environment following good laboratory practices. Understand and operate the Biolumix system and quantitative method. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related field or equivalent experience. Microbiology laboratory experience, 0-5 years or equivalent education. Familiar with ISO 17025 standards. Familiar with manufacturing requirements for 21 CFR 11, 117, and 111. Familiarity with cGXP, such as cGLP, cGMP, and cGDP. Must have microbiology background. Skills Excellent organizational skills and be detail-oriented. Work well with others and follow directions. Work with minimum supervision. Excellent communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and understand LIMS and Citrix systems. Education Bachelors or better in Microbiology. Experience Less than 5 years of microbiology laboratory experience or equivalent education. Preferred Familiar with manufacturing requirements for 21 CFR 11, 117 and 111; familiar with ISO 17025 standards.
