SENIOR Mechanical Engineer

Representing a growing MEP & Fire Protection firm, we are searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer, to join their team. Office is located in western Suffolk County--easy commute; close to major highways. As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for completing detailed engineering calculations, designing HVAC systems, etc. Responsibilities Reviewing and analyzing architectural & engineering plans Performing engineering calculations to support HVAC system design Heating & cooling load calculations Static pressure calculations Hydraulic head pressure calculations ETC Design, size & layout ductwork & piping distribution systems Size & select HVAC equipment to support overall design Perform site surveys Attend meetings with architects, contractors, owners & building managers Organize & maintain project records Support construction administration activities by reviewing submittals, shop drawings Prepare responses to RFI and provide input as needed Perform periodic field visits Other duties as required Education & Qualifications 8+ years of experience in buildings system designs in commercial, multi-family and/or hospitality areas Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relating field

PROFICIENT IN USE OF:
