Welder / Pipefitter

Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Utilize welding techniques to fabricate components, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Employ basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication. Operate tools such as micrometers and other measuring devices to ensure accuracy in work. Perform soldering tasks as needed for assembly and repair of components. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards. Experience Extensive hands‑on expertise in welding and fitting, with a strong command of various welding techniques. Preferred familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes. Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively. Skilled in precision measurement using tools such as micrometers. Highly detail‑oriented, with a steadfast commitment to producing high‑quality work. Welding Certifications & Experience GTAW/GTAW : CS Pipe GTAW/SMAW : CS Pipe, CS Plate GTAW w/Filler : SS Pipe FCAW : AWS D1.6 SS GMAW : AWS D1.6 SS Plate (3/16", 3G/4G) GTAW : AL6XN Manual/Orbital GTAW Orbital GTAW Manual : SS Tube (.065) Requirements Must be willing to travel out of state 4-10 days at a time. Valid drivers license and clean driving record is a must. Must live in Maine. Must have reliable transportation to get themselves to the shop on Monday mornings for 6am.
