About the Property Located along the shores of Chatham, Massachusetts, Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Five‑Star resort, stands as a timeless beacon of hospitality, blending rich history with modern luxury on 25 oceanfront acres. With over a century of heritage, the Inn has captivated visitors with panoramic ocean views, impeccable service, and a commitment to preserving the essence of New England charm. The Inn has 217 rooms and suites, from the historic Main Inn to dozens of cottage‑style buildings with flower‑lined brick walkways and breathtaking views. Chatham Bars Inn is one of Cape Cod’s most beloved destinations for family vacations, romantic getaways, and corporate retreats. Guests of the Inn are able to experience a series of authentic, first‑hand Cape Cod experiences such as private cabana rentals along the Inn’s private quarter‑mile beach, an oceanfront pool, complimentary bike rentals, private bonfires, tennis courts, a full‑service spa, and supervised Kids Crew sessions. Responsibilities Greet arriving guests as they enter the restaurant, welcome them into the establishment, and seat them efficiently. Greet guests and patrons personally and on the telephone. Offer appropriate seating arrangements. Present menus. Ensure that the menus are clean, orderly, and appropriate for the meal service. Ensure the quantity of menus is sufficient to cater to the number of guests. Assist in setting up dining rooms and make reservation arrangements as necessary. Maintain clean and organized tables and work area. Assist Restaurant Managers with other tasks as needed. Requirements Exceptional customer service skills – must enjoy working with the public. Superior organizational skills. Follows direction well. Being flexible and motivated. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to work early morning or evening shifts, weekends and holidays. Compensation Student salary range: $17.82 – $19.00 per hour. The actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
